First time baby got sick

At what age did your EBF baby get sick for the first time? My 8 month old hasn't had any illness so far and I attribute her health to breastmilk.

My DS first got sick at about 9 mos. He was on breastmilk AND formula. I pumped for 10mos. I was never able to exclusively pump but I do think it helped prevent illness.

Dd was quite the sick little thing when she was little. She was hospitalized twice for bronchitis and is still quite susceptible to germs. She was ebf till 8 months and bf'd until 28 months.

My daughter got sick once at 15 months old (right when I found out I was pregnant). She's had a fever twice in 26 months. Even after I weaned her, I make sure that she gets lots of probiotic foods and good fats; all of the things that make breastmilk so good in the first place

Other than yogurt, what other probiotic rich foods do you give? I exclusively pump and am so nervous about stopping because I want DD to get all the immune boost I can give but pumping is really taking a lot out of me now and I want to go as far as I can but its looking like a year is the farthest I'll make it. Do you give a probiotic supplement?

I have to give some formula now too. At first she had a real aversion to it but is now coming around and will drink a full serving. I am dreading not pumping anymore but its such a chore and up until 7 months she got full breast milk and I am trying to make myself feel better about potentially stopping either at a year or right before. Kudos to you for pumping for 10 months I know how hard it is for such an extended period of time.

Mine were all sick young...they were also all in daycare young and my oldest has asthma...I DO believe though there is no way to tell that each of them would have been more sick if they were nt BF. I guess I should add too that they all were supplimented by 4 months at the latest (they were also all, except maybe the oldest - I can't remember sick well before 4 months)

DS was 15 months when he got roseola, but I don't think any amount of breast milk could prevent a kid from getting that.
He's almost 3 now and was BFd until 26 months. He's had 3 mild colds between 20 months and now.

My oldest got his first cold around 11 months. My younger two got their first colds much earlier (and had them more frequently) thanks to their older siblings bringing home germs from school/playgroups/etc.

Audri had a cold at 6 weeks but seemed to get over it pretty quick.

-DS1 didn't get sick until he was a toddler.
-DS2 caught a minor cold probably around 9 months old and a major one at 11 months. The difference was that DS1 was in preschool at that time and would bring his yuckies home, exposing his little brother.
