I'm a worrier. I'm 8 weeks tomorrow with my third, and have all the sick/tired symptoms. But when I lie down and feel my stomach, it still feels like mush and I can't feel anything there. And I occasionally get a little pinchy pain in my right side. So, I've convinced myself since I can't feel anything, something is wrong, and I can't remember how my stomach felt the last two times. Are you supposed to be able to palpate anything yourself at 8 weeks??

The pinchy pain is likely ligaments, and the uterus is still mostly in the pelvis so early on, so it's not that surprising you can't feel it. I think you're worrying too much mama.

I don't think you can feel anything. I barely could until 10-12 weeks.

Nope, your uterus is probably still tucked behind your pubis. Totally normal.

I'll be 14 weeks and it's still hard to feel my uterus when laying down. Mine is severely retroverted though, could be why.
I wouldn't worry mama

Thanks ladies...I switched to a midwife halfway through my last pg, so by now I'd have had an ultrasound to ease my mind, so I guess I'm just driving myself crazy (as usual) worrying. Growing a human is stressful!

I was bloated but could not feel my uterus at 8 weeks. I think around 10 I could just barely feel it peeking over my pubis.

Oh Mama! You brought tears to my eyes in a good way! I *JUST* posted this to my DDG's FB page this am....that I was trying to feel and can't and can't remember when I could before and I am in freak out mode...lol and this is #7! They all said 10 weeks as well...Let's hang in there together Mama!

mama-- I'm always a worried pregnant mama too in the first trimester. I'm 16 weeks and I can't feel a gosh darn thing even though I'm showing (a lot!) The only way I can tell where my uterus is, is after DH and I, ahem, get busy-- THEN I can feel where it is-- it's only one inch under my belly-button and normally it all just feels like mush to me too.
