We're planning a camping trip at the State Park in August. Besides the dunes, do you have any suggestions for must see/do activities? TIA!

Take a trip up the peninsula!!! Leland, Sutton's Bay, Northport!
WINE :-) Lots of great winerys
Sleeping Bear Dunes on North Manitou Island... GORGEOUS. There's an off shore shipwreck to snorkel at.
It's a beautiful area, you will have a lot to do!!!

Would love to do the wineries and tours, but not so much when I'm pregnant.

Our kids are almost 14 (step-son), 7.5 and 5.5 if that makes a difference.

Go to Pyramid Point at the Dunes to swim. It's rather secluded and out of the way. Very beautiful spot. Boy, as a TC native, you would think I would have more to tell you to do!

There is an old asylum turned into a little community there. When we went it was off season and most things were closed but you could check it out. http://www.thevillagetc.com/

This is what we do every year. Love it up there. We are going up again this summer. Every Aug. But this time we are trying a different camp ground.

Old Mission Point Lighthouse! We always go up there when we are in TC. Charlevoix isn't far from TC, either, and it's such a pretty town. We love to go there for ice cream, among other things.

Pyramid Point is my favorite spot. I'm getting married there July 2013.
Glen Haven is fun as well during the summer.
