I am wondering if anyone has a recipe for a face scrub that they make? I used to get one that had ground walnut shell and strawberry seeds in a honey and other ingredient base but the ma and pa business went under
![]() My face gets so dry and yucky in the colder months and I need something help slough it off. Thanks!!

Re: Homemade face scrub recipes???
I make a sugar scrub with white sugar and coconut oil. You can add EO if you like; I like peppermint, but in small amounts. Lavender is also nice. I use this scrub all over.

Re: Homemade face scrub recipes???
There is this http://www.pioneerthinking.com/beaut...a_obscrub.html
But I use powdered milk, ground oats, honey and just enough warm water to make a paste. I use it daily to wash my face. You can leave the oats unground and it will be more of a scrub, but I find it scrubby enough the way it is. 2 cups non-fat dry milk, 1/4 whole oats. Ground the oats and mix with the dry milk. I store this in a jar. Then put about a 1/8 of a cup in a bowl (guessing the amount its just a thin layer on the bottom of a regular sized bowl) with a squeeze of honey (about a teaspoon) and enough warm water to make a paste- only takes a couple of drops of water. You can let it sit on your face for a few minutes or just wash it right back off. You could add a couple drops of oil if you want. Or follow with a oil mix. I just use my regular face moisturizer after. I was using a mix of olive oil, grapeseed, jojoba, avocado and vit e to moisturize but one of them was causing my face to itch and just wasn't heavy enough for my dry winter skin. So I went back to my commercial moisturizer.

Re: Homemade face scrub recipes???
Superfine sugar (I just put it through the blender) and olive oil in equal parts. Add EO's if you like (I add a little TTO and lavendar). Super easy. Super awesome.

I put a little baking soda in with coconut oil and use this on my face and upper body. Really nice and it won't rip your hide off like plain baking soda will. LOL!

Re: Homemade face scrub recipes???
here you go, cheapest method ever! gauze, the old fashion type. i buy massive packs at amazon for $8 non sterile, but that is OK.
wet then scrub. If you scrub hard you are going to get more off, like a chemical peel (DH did this and was red for a week but then the new skin was lovely) i find it works better than any product, it's cheap and easy and I used all the fancy stuff in the past

Re: Homemade face scrub recipes???
Made a quicky with regular sugar and olive oil. Skin felt pretty awesome afterward. Even good for the lips. Might try some EO for a nicer scent, though.
