Re: With holiday season closer then I would like to admit...
All the items on my list are kitchen items too. I mean after you get by the things that people can't buy like, a healthy take home baby, world peace and such.
I am amazed by what are on people's list. I think it is making my list grow longer!

Cheap: replacement bowl for our mini food processor.
Not so cheap: 1-2 rag rugs from the Lehman's catalog, the ones made from old blue jeans. I have one and after seven (?) years it has a few stains...and I'd love to have two so I can wash one and use the other.

Re: With holiday season closer then I would like to admit...
all the things on my xmas list are kitchen items too
sooo many things that i want.expensive: it's between a vitamix and programmable slow cooker. probably programmable slow cooker because my other one is about to die and that would be TRAGIC inexpensive: i think everything i want is expensive.....but some new utensils and/or pots and pans would be nice. right now i have cheapo plastic utensils and non-stick pans. blech. i would really like some wooden/stainless steel/cast iron stuff. someday...

Re: With holiday season closer then I would like to admit...
Expensive: 13" inch cast iron chicken frying skillet with lid
Inexpensive: new dish towels I'd like a kithen aid stand mixer with the meat grinder and pasta maker attachment and a vitamix, but neither of those is going to happen

Glass food storage containers and other kitchen storage containers. That it. More of them for expensive and less for cheaper. Then again my kitchen is WELL stocked with absolutely everything. Except that.

Re: With holiday season closer then I would like to admit...
I always have kitchen stuff on my list, but never get it. DH says he only wants to buy things for "me" not the family. Um, I spend a bazillion hours in the kitchen a year with things I hate...get me the thing I like and everyone would be happier!
Anyway... Expensive: Kitchen aid stand mixer with all the attachments and bowl sizes. Cheap: a garlic press. I love cooking with garlic, but still do not have one of these! If money were no object--I would get rid of everything except my favorite scraper, my new ninja blender (actually dh bday gift from the kids and I) and 1 set of small serving bowls. And start over!
