Before I was a parent, I could party all night, get 2 hours of sleep and go to work the next day and then do it all over again. Now, if I get less than 5 hours of sleep you do not want to know me.

Before I was a parent, I didn't think twice about going to a fancy restaurant with my friends and spending $100 on a bottle of wine. Now, I cringe at spending $25 on take out.

Before I was a parent, I dressed in high heels and mini skirts. Now....there's no way. You cant run after kids in heels and short skirts!

Before I was a parent, it was all sex, drugs and alcohol. Now it's all Sesame Street, diapers and ABCs.

Before I was a parent, I couldn't cook a thing. Now I can shop, plan and cook dinner. Take that!

Before I was a parent, I was VIP. At the local clubs, I knew the bouncers and the bartenders. I got in free, no line and free drinks. Now I'm still VIP, very important parent to 2 really awesome kiddos.

I love my life now. Add yours!

That doesn't sound like my life pre-kiddo at all, but things have definitely changed.

I could work out whenever I wanted.
I could sleep in as long as my body allowed on weekends.
We spent entire days playing video games together.
We had 2 incomes and were, for all practical purposes, rich.
I ate out a lot.
I had 'free time'
We travelled a lot
I volunteered at church (DD still hates nursery)

Life is very busy now and there is very little time that's 'mine'. But I love her.

I agree that free time and "me" time are nonexistent.

I did have a bit of fun before i got married and had kids

Before I had kids I worked out. I showered alone. I served my plate first or second, not fifth. I'd never said the words "don't lick the dog/toilet/baby!"

Before kids:
I was in great shape,
was always put together,
did anything I wanted whenever I wanted,
Was a work a holic
Had money

Now...
Being exhausted 24/7,
Being called mommy,
Receiving wet kisses,
And having two little cuddle bugs
....are my favorite things I look forward to each and everyday!
I love my "drama queen" and my "blue eyed handsome"!

Before I had kids I worked outside the home

Now I have kids I have my own business at home

Honestly, I did pretty much the same things pre-kids that I do now. I never STTN pre-kids, not a drinker/smoker/drugs/partier. We still go out (just with kids now) and do all sorts of fun stuff, I still have free time and hobbies, etc. The only thing that has changed is I work at home and my career has changed.

Well I guess I could add -

Before I had kids I didn't think about the foods I ate

Now I have kids I eat only organic foods

Before I had kids I thought I knew what kind of parent I would be (more mainstream)

Now I have kids and I'm not the parent I thought I would be (well dang, I'm crunchy)

Before I had kids I had no idea how much my parents love me.

I took naps when I did not need them. Now I need them and don't get them.

I saw movies in the theater. Now I take a week to watch one movie at home.

I bought whatever soap smelled the best. Now I buy whatever soap is void of harsh ingredients.

I never wiped other peoples butts. Now... Well you all know how that goes.

I said butt. Now I say tushy.

Before I had kids I had no idea what I was missing.
