When did your preemie walk?

Just wondering. My girls are 16 months and one will walk if she can hold on to something but the other one is only standing. I know it takes preemies longer to walk so I thought I would ask all of you!

They are 16 months but were born at 29 weeks.

Mine were born at 35 weeks and started walking at 14 months. But we knew a full term baby in one of our playgroups who didn't walk until he was 19 months!

DD1 was born at 31 weeks. She did not walk unsupported (w/out holding a hand) until 15-16 months. They go by adjusted age, so if they had been born full term they'd be... you said 29 weeks I think...so basically they should be about 14-15 months developmentally.

I am not worried and neither is my doc, I am just comparing preemies to full term Thanks for the info ladies!

As you said every child is different but I will give you our stats:
My girls were born at exactly 32wks. They both pulled up to a stand at 7mos I tried to not encourage it and was constantly sitting them down but it didn't work. They were running by 12mos and haven't stopped since.
My girls are very tiny so I thought that might aid in their ability to run cause it's less weight to haul around atleast that's my theory.
None of my other kids walked this early they were all in the 15mos - 2.5yrs range. So they are just odd.

My preemie was a 34 weeker. He walked just before his 1st birthday (so 10.5 months adjusted). All of my other kids walked around 10-11 months so he was right on track with them.

My twin and I were born at 31 weeks and didn't walk until 18 months. Otherwise we were pretty advanced, though. I still am not good at atheletic things!

To compare to full term, DD2 was walking independently at 13 months.

My babies have been all over the place.

My full term son didn't take his first steps till 16 or 17 months.
My 35 weeker didn't walk until he was 18 months.
My 29 weeks (who has mild CP) is almost 18 months and is not walking.
My 23 weeker is only 6 months, but I expect her to follow down the same path as her brothers did.

My twin boys who were 27weekers took their first steps around Thanksgiving so 13-14 mo actual, 10-11 adjusted. They were walking well by the first of the year.
