I'm fairly new to florida we moved from Michigan into Port Charlotte back in Febuary! Any other mamas around this area!!

The nice weather brought us here. My husbands mom is also here so we came and stayed with her until we found jobs and got out own place!

I guess its nice weather 3 months out of the year but the other 9 months I want to kill myself b/c of the humidity and mosquitoes and fireants. How did you do finding jobs here? The economy here is absolutely awful. I guess I always look at the cup half-empty and evaporating. on the plus side houses are cheap!

Do you ladies know of any good pediatricians for toddlers here in SW FL? I'm willing to drive for a decent one.

Hubby is part of family business and I was a teacher before staying home.

We love ours but it is 20 minutes south of us...if you want the natural approach, good luck...she was hard to find...

Would you mind sharing whom you go to? I had a hard time finding one that was just decent and DH does not like him.

My sons doctor is Rhona Holganza. She is in Port Charlotte. My son has only been there a few times but i really like her and the place seems really nice. They have 2 waiting rooms one for the healthy kids and 1 for the sick kids so the sick kids dont get everyone sick. There waiting rooms have toys for the kids to keep them busy while they wait. Its really nice.

As far as finding jobs i work part time saturdays and sundays. I got the job pretty quick and my husband got a great job so i guess we just got lucky.
He looked really hard to find one and actually had several people call him back and offer jobs after he already got the one he as now!!
