Do you need a whole new range? Just a suggestion. Our oven died a few months after we moved in and I replaced the element (it's an electric range... Ugh) for around $50 or something.

The digital brain fried, so if it had any power to it at all the oven would heat up without even being turned on and would not turn off. The part to repair it costs almost as much as a new stove, so that is out.

I was able to find a 2 burner hot plate at the store today, so I will be able to cook with my pans, and between the Nuwave, the crockpots and the grill I think we will be ok.

This happened to us earlier this month. Right after we bought new hardwood floors.

Our burners on top still worked and we have a toaster oven so that's what I used for a few weeks. It sucked so much. But hey, you'll be creative and you'll get through it. Hang in there!

I made it without a kitchen for 4 weeks while we were remodeling. We only ate out once during that time. I used crockpots and the microwave. If you have a couple of crock pots, you can use one for entree and another for sides. You can even do desserts and breakfasts with a crockpot. There is a huge thread stickied with crock pot recipes and you can google.

And keep an eye on craigslist for a used stove. Around here, there are tons of used appliances on there when people remodel and upgrade appliances. You can probably score one for $100 or less.
