How long was the labor with your second lo?

First one took about 12 hours, but I was induced.

Second was about 5, once things got going.

Depends on when you start counting.

With my first, labor had a pretty clear beginning and was about 16 hrs.

With my second, there was no clear beginning. If you count from when I do, the Wednesday before, when I was having contractions and went into L&D and was told I was in labor but it was going to be a while so go home...57 hrs. If you count from when I went to L&D the second time when they kept me, 16 hrs.

My first was twenty-nine hours and forty minutes. My second was nineteen hours and nineteen minutes. This is only counting hard labor. I had a day of prodromal labor with each as well. I don't know if I do or do not hope we shave another ten hours off of the next time around. I think a labor as "short" as nine hours might be exceptionally intense and perhaps "too quick" for my body. I guess I'm just used to longer labors. Though I have read that third labor tends to resemble first more than second (might have been here, actually....).

Granted my 2nd was an induction, but still, my 1st was 27 hours and my 2nd was 12 hours. (Then my 3rd was 6 hours!)

my first was about 18 hours, my second was 1 hour.

Mine have gotten progressively longer overall, but with a shorter "hard labor" period, if that makes sense. My first was 5 hours from first contraction to birth, and intense the whole time. My second was 8 hours from first contraction to birth, but 3 hours hard labor (and almost a lb bigger than my first!). My third was about 10 hours from first contraction, but only about 1 hour of intense labor.

Ds I had cervadil overnight . They started pit at 7 am and I delivered at 317 pm

Dd I went in at 6 30 am and they started at 730 aor so with the pit and I delivered at 1138 am
