Somebody once said to a surrogate, "How is it going to feel to give up the baby?" The surrogate smiled and replied, "Oh, we aren't giving him up - we're giving him back."

On 9/17/12, at 11:26am, I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. For nine months I got to watch him grow within me, feel his kicks, love him and nurture him. And in return, I got to witness a childless couple become a mommy and a daddy.

Baby Steven was 7lbs, 10oz. He is amazing, and I am forever blessed to be his surrogate mama. And while he will be headed back to China shortly, I will always carry a piece of him within my heart.
