Just subbing, how many outfits would you say is ideal for a twin size memory quilt? I'm going to solicit my mother and husband for this for a 'christmas' gift for me.

Using adult sized shirts it takes 20 single sides (a double sided shirt counts as 2 if you want both front and back on the quilt.)

Childrens sized clothes takes 80 single pieces. Many people include receiving blankets that can bring the number if kids clothes down significantly.

Sooo interested in this! I have been setting clothes aside for the last 10 years in anticipation of getting someone to do this for me. I probably won't get in under the wire this time, but hopefully soon. Your price is very reasonable for all of that work, too!

for some reason my reply never went through. If I included 3-4 receiving blankets (you wouldn't have to use all the fabric from the blankets unless needed) how much would that reduce the amount of baby clothes needed? Thanks in advance!

No problem! It depends on how big the blankets are. You might be able to cut the amount of clothing in half if they are large enough.

It all really depends on how you want it to look also. Some want every square to be a different fabric, others like there to be matching every other square.

I love your work! I have a bunch of old "letter" t-shirts from my band sorority and marching band t-shirts from college that I would *love* to be made into a quilt! I have been saving them anticipating to get to it but I never got to it! I am thinking probably more of a blanket that could be used on the couch. (I'm not sure what they normally run size-wise). I've got a TON of fabric here that I can send with it for you to use!

I'll send you a PM when I'm not on mobile.... I still have to save up some $, but I was thinking maybe a custom around Jan/Feb if you are thinking out that far? Let me know!

Thanks! My custom list is full through the end of December, so after the first of the year will be perfect!

A couch throw is 12-16 adult single sided shirts. I personally like the 12 shirt size for a one person throw and the 16 for a 2 person throw.
