I've never tried hemp, but I LOVE my bamboo flats. I just got some doublers as well, and bamboo is SO SOFT. It's way more absorbent than cotton.
Actually, I was debating between hemp and bamboo, and lakemama's thread on her experiment is what convinced me to do bamboo. Advertisement

I use prefolds, not inserts, but I've tried bth hemp and bamboo. I found the hemp to be more absorbent and like some previous posters, I think it is a little stiffer when wet and if it's not dryer sot, feels like it can be course. I stll love my hemp babies flats, though. They are just too versatile to overlook.
My favorites are probably my gefen hemp jersey flats. They are super soft, like cotton, and don't sem to get the hemp stiffness. Maybe because they are bleached? They sale inserts in 2 or 3 packs, I think, that are reasonably priced. |
