Re: Any husband CD addicts/lovers?

My husband was the one who wanted to do cloth.... I bet he regrets that, just a little at least, haha.
My husband doesn't like that I buy so many diapers, but he doesn't really mind it that much... as long as we're not going into debt. plus he always accepts my insane rationales of buying more, and thinks all of them are cute I know he's really just enabling me though because it makes me happy; I love my husband!

Total enabler and fan over here! DH makes fun of the names, but he has tried to convince several pregnant friends to give it a try. I'm always a bit sheepish about new stuff (even things I've won in giveaways) but he likes the new fluff too. I was so proud of him when he pulled out a fitted and interlock longies for bed last week!

At first NO! Now... (even though our ds has been in undies for a year..lol) yes! He is an enabler BIG time! He tells everyone who is expecting or hard on cash how awesome they are. That being said, he has never seen ALL of my diapers at one time (nb to toddler). Aaaaaannnd, he jas no idea how much I have spent. But, he likes collecting knives, so he has no issues with me buying diapers...lol.

I am pretty lucky though. He has no problem using prefolds/flats/cover. He doesnt wrap and snappi/pin, but he is a master trifolder/padfolder! Even deals with poop!

He is out when it comes to washing though! Lol

I would not call my hubby an addict at all, but I will say he has come a long way since the first diaper 4.5 years ago. Even before then he would shudder at the thought of a cloth diaper. Now he easily changes them on our kids, likes that I use them as a money saving thing, and has over the years, recognized that our babies/toddlers never, ever blow out of their diaper, I think that is his favorite "feature". He will even speak up about it to others if I am on the topic of cloth with someone considering it.
But if he was a single parent without me, he would definitely be using disposables!

Re: Any husband CD addicts/lovers?

Baby isn't here yet, but he's a fan. And he'd better be, since he'll be doing most of the diapering! And probably laundering, for that matter.

He would be fine with sposies if that were what I was into, too-- he's supportive like that. But I think his main (personal) reasons for supporting cloth are:

1) It seems comfier/gentler/healthier to him.

2) It's NBD to him, as he helped CD his brother with PFs, pins and plastic pants in the 70s. After having done that, the fact that we'll be trifolding/Snappi'ing/using AIOs makes CDing pretty equal to sposies in his mind.

3) Cute! He agrees modern CDs (like the stash we ALREADY have!) are way cuter than sposies.

He does like to joke, though-- considering the size of our stash-- that our baby will have 12 butts.
