Re: How much do you pay for childcare?
I charge $140 a week for full time care. The home daycares in my town range anywhere from $90 to $150 a week with the centers being closer to $200 a week per child. This is kids 4 and under.

$70/week for full time in home childcare. We live in a rural area with low cost of living. Most day care centers charge about 90-100/week per child.

Re: How much do you pay for childcare?
$850 a month for a NAEYC accredited center for on 17 month old. The official ratio is 1:4, with his room currently at 2 teachers and 7 kids. We LOVE it. There are cheaper places in town, but the level of care he gets here is phenomenal.

Re: How much do you pay for childcare?
We pay about $800/mo for after school care (2 kids 5 hours a day and one kid 2 hours a day, 3 days a week, every other week) and the nanny gets about $500/mo. She does overnights (6 a month) and two full days a month.

Re: How much do you pay for childcare?
I had 320 a month in small town. Another was 25/day cost was backup.
Here where I live now is 10/hr. Most I think do overtime & time & a half for that in home. I think I heard centers were 500 to 700+ so depending on hrs & all...... |

Re: How much do you pay for childcare?
I pay $3.50/hr and only pay the hours I bring her. It's a fantastic unlicensed home daycare. I usually do about 3 days a week and my mom and husband watch her the other days when their schedules allow. I usually spend around $100/wk. She charges $3/hr pere child if you have 2 children in her care. This is a fairly low cost of living area.
Full time care at a center around here cost about $140-$200/wk depending on age of child. |

Re: How much do you pay for childcare?
Most around here are $80 per day (most do not including meals) for care from 7am-6pm (I don't leave my child there that long, but it's available for those that need to). I think if they go full time (mine is only once a week), then it is about $300 a week. This is for a childcare centre. My sister uses a home daycare provider and pays $50/ day, but she only leaves him for a half day usually, and the issue I have with that is that sometimes the girl who does it is sick or has something else she needs to do and it can be inconvenient.
ETA: We live in a very high COL area.

I live in a very low COL area. I pay $19 per day for ds2 and $5 per day after-school care for ds1. She's a licensed in-home daycare.
The prices some if you are paying is WAY more than I make an hour!!!
