best slippers for a very active (running) 18mo old boy? no preference for wahm or not
My son is super active, he is 18 months old and is climbing the walls and the couch and the fence and anything he can climb. When he has slippers on he at least can't get his little toes into the fence like a ninja to climb it and vault over it like a drunken acrobat.
Please save my sanity! Recommend the best pair of slippers for my son. I need slippers that: (1) He can't take off by himself, and that (2) keep his feet warm. Thanks in advance for any and all advice! PS: I couldn't care less if they are mass produced or painstakingly handstitched. I support WAHMs and actually am one, but this issue requires an immediate solution and I can't afford to just stalk a page for three months (by which point this may be a moot issue)

Only slippers we ever found that worked well were the toddler ones from LL Bean. Specifically, these...

I can't imagine any slippers that an 18 mo old won't be able to get off by himself.

We use robeez or soft leather shoes as slippers- they help keep socks on & prevent slipping on wood/tile floors. We actually use the mini star brand from target.

Absolutely Giesswein. We had these, with a cat face:
http://en.giesswein.com/kinder/schuh....html#color-51 We got them for super cheap on Amazon but I haven't gone digging for them lately because my son is wearing his big sister's. Anyway, they 1. Are wool, so toasty but breathable 2. Coated with thin but sturdy rubber on the bottom, giving huge traction 3. Outfitted with a big patch of hook and loop, making them adjustable and hard to get off. 4. Were my daughter's first "street shoes." If you can find them I highly recommend them.

My boys both have soft soled shoes from little pitterpat that they wear as slippers. They are the only shoes that my 16 month old will actually leave on his feet. He even brings them over to me to put on him. Sharie was great to work with and she got both pairs done really fast!
