Thought it might be fun to see what others are making....get some inspiration and motivation!


I haven't made alot yet....after the gender ultrasound on friday I will be more motivated! Ok, mine are nothing special...I am not that talented so bear with me! lol!

First up: 2 newborn covers made with the La Di Da pattern


4 side snapping small covers made with free baabaababy pattern:


ok..these are boring....but some recycled wool I made from two boring sweaters.


I didnt completely "make" these I just refurbished them. They were very ugly, well loved thirsties fab fitteds. I ripped off the old nasty velcro..serged on some cotton velour added snaps and new elastic.

Thats all I have done so far...I have a long list of projects though! Once we get moved..I can't wait to settle in next to the woodstove for some knitting!

I've made the same colors in size medium too!

I've also refreshed a bunch of DSs old diapers and altered some of them ( adding another snap to the rise so it gets smaller)

I have plans to make some wool longies and crochet some hats too!

I'm so thankful you started this thread it reminded me my payment for coop yarn was due today Soooo when that gets here probably the beginning of December, I'll be knitting away! I got one boyish, and one girly colorway. Though the boyish one will totally be modified with ruffles so I can keep both if it's a girl I'm looking for one more creams/browns colorway so I'll have an extra pair just in case.

May I ask what your using for the inners? Was thinking of making some aio's as well...just not sure what or how many layers to use...

Inners?? I'm ashamed to admit its hard to remember bc I made these months before we officially started TTC

I think it was one layer of zorb and 2-3 layers of either a microfiber towel or cotton terry.

You ladies amaze me! I have ZERO motivation to start making anything for this little bean! I still have to finish a rag quilt for my niece who was born back in JUNE!! Sigh... I just need to find my energy that extends beyond just keeping the house, schooling my children and running them to their activities and working part time.

I've made 40 double flannel wipes and 6 sets of flannel/fleece nursing pads. That's the extent of my sewing thus far. I'm not clever enough to even attempt dipes or covers!

So far, I sewed some shoes for this little one. I'd like to get a hat or two knitted, maybe a sweater. I also have a pile of flannel wipes to sew this week, but those are for my cousin's shower next Saturday
