I’m Nachomama. I knit and dye yarn, often with the help of my adorable children. I sometimes knit for hire as well. I try to keep environmental and ethical standards in mind in all my dealings. Our packaging is reusable and biodegradable. Our shipping labels are recycled. I try to carry ethically sourced bases; many are US made or organic. If these things are important to you as well, I hope you’ll consider supporting my efforts. I’d love to dye or knit up something just for you.

Gaia Bulky $20 each
This super soft base is perfect for newborns or those with sensitive skin. I would definitely call it "heavy worsted" rather than bulky.

This colorway is subtle tonal blues, beautiful!

Mountain Meadow Wool $21 each
This worsted base is soft, but stands up to toddler use. I'm proud to offer this environmentally friendly base! From their vegetable based cleansers to the small ranches they work with, the company is all about sustainability.

Licorice Twist (1120, the light worsted)
This is the 1120, a light worsted. This base is really soft and cuddly. The thinness makes is a great choice for summer woolies.

This economical base is sourced from humanely treated sheep. I'd call it medium on both softness and pilling.

Prices for hand dyed yarn, for a 3.5 or 4 oz skein:

Subtract $4 from pricing for solid or semi solid. 2 oz solid or semi solid trim skeins also available. Ask me about scrappy sets, gradients and self striping! If you’re interested in a different base, message me. I can likely oblige. Also, I tend to have a few random, special yarns around, like sparkle or silk, if there is interest. If you aren't sure which base to pick, just ask. I've knit and used nearly all of them on my cloth diapered cutie, so I can help you choose something sturdy for your toddler or something snuggly for your newborn.


Prices do not include shipping. For Priority shipping, cost is $4 for 1 skein, $1 for each additional. For first class, $3, $1 for each additional. Message me for a quote on international shipping.

My turnaround time is 2-3 weeks for instock bases.

I was also a tester, I asked to give inspiration for the colors and let her choose how she wanted to dye it. Cobblestone walk way is what I asked for. When it got to me it was exactly what I had imagined it would looked like. It's great. I will be playing another order soon.
