Congratulations! I will be having my third csection in april, a little nervous but cant wait! I love those first days <3

One week postpartum and I have stopped taking the pain meds, just a little advil as needed. I also felt well enough to babywear today and haven't had any issues. We're still doing great with the nursing and the weight is falling off of me. This baby is very sleepy (must be because he was 3 weeks early?) so I am still waking every 3 hours to feed. I hope he is gaining well, but we won't know until after Turkey Day when we return to the Pedi.

I just hope by sharing my story, I have reminded everyone that the outcome is a healthy, happy baby every time

It sounds like overall you enjoyed your experience as well, am I right in assuming that? I think it's helpful for women to see that an elective cesarean can be something positive. :-)

Yes I did. And though my original goal was to try for a VBAC, I quickly settled into having a 2nd c-section due to my pregnancy complications.
