Calling all teachers!

DD is in kindergarten and this is my first year with a child in school. I have no idea what to get her teacher for Christmas. I want to give something that she will use and appreciate but that isn't completely overdone by everyone else! Spam me with ideas!

Get her earrings in the shape of a pencil or apples, a mug with #1 teacher, or a bag with mini chalk boards printed on it.

My aunt and cousin are teachers and always appreciate gift cards or school supplies etc.

I love gift cards to restaurants, Starbucks, or a teacher supply store. The restaurant gift cards are great for nights I am at the school late working and dont have time to cook. Also a card from the child in their handwriting (as much as they can) are special. Also books for her to read aloud to the class.

Books, supplies for the teacher, or best, a handwritten note of appreciation. I never expect gift cards, and unless I know the parent well homemade baked goods go uneaten.

Love stuff to be used for the classroom! And giftcards...even the little $5 or $10 ones to Starbucks or Subway or something like that!

Subbing for ideas. My DS has a terrific teacher this year abs I want to give her something good. She's pregnant with her first, I was thinking a target card so she could get whatever she wants. Is that good?

Haha, my mum and auntie are both teachers (elementary) and they *loved* the parents who got them wine/liqueurs. It's a bit cheeky, but always appreciated! (Unless you know the teacher doesn't drink. In which case, whoops.)
