*sigh* my DS is 14 months old and a co sleeper. A little over a week ago, he woke up wanting to play and when I ignored him, he bit my nipple. OUCH! I think his teeth marks turned I to milk blisters. They were like little pimples that popped, but the marks are still there and it is extremely painful to nurse. I was nursing him in a football position to get his latch away from the pain, but that's not even helping anymore, and it really doesn't seem to be getting much better. he has got an itty bitty mouth, and his teeth end up rubbing against the sores. Nursing more on the other side isn't an option, as the other side doesn't really produce anything. Trying to wean him would be a nightmare and I really don't want to go that route anyways. Any advice in how to get these healed up quickly?

My mws gave me a prescription herbal nipple cream when ds took a chunk out of me, it healed up super quick and really helped make the pain bearable. Is there an ob or mw you know who might be able to do that for you?

I wish I had a remedy to offer. I would say lansinoh might help. I get bit in the AM too if I do not pay attention or hide my boobies.

I will try to look I to a MW or something, but I don't have anyone around here yet. And I have already tried lanolin, but maybe I haven't been using it often enough.

Ouch! I too had a blister when my son was 2 weeks old and it was excruciating! I pumped on the blister side and nursed on the good side. I also used lansinoh for the blister, but I would think any nipple cream would help.

I would always go straight in for the kill. Take a sterilized needle and pop them. Instant relief!!

It's already popped, now it's sort of scabbed over.

Use nipple cream and air it out as much as possible. It'll heal faster when it's open to the air. If that's not an option at all, try to use breathable bras and breast pads until it's healed.
