Dental Insurance--not through your employer

I missed deadline for re enrolling for dental benefits.

Anyone have a POSITIVE experience with a dental company? Could I call the company directly and see if they would allow me to re enroll if I missed my employer's deadline?

I am praying that I didn't screw up so bad that my family doesn't have medical insurance. The almost $1000 would be nice---but that was pre-taxed. I think I had to re enroll them, too.

You have to reenroll? Here it stays til you change it...

I know for sure I had to reenroll for my FSA, I missed that deadline. We had a death in the family and had to travel out of state...I remembered before we left...remembered two days later.

I'm hoping they still get medical, dental etc. I'm covered for medical.

I am so not an insurance person.

I know for our company you only had to re enroll if you were making a change,otherwise it just continued. That was for health,dental,and vision.

I would call your HR/Benefits department and explain that you had a death in the family and missed your deadlines because of travelling to the funeral. See if maybe they can get you set up with what you need anyway.
