Scratching/sores: What is this?
My daughter has severe severe itchy skin. She also has keratosis pilaris, which is something with her hair follicles. She has the worst case of dandruff I've ever seen on a child. We've use Sarna on the skin, apple cider vinager on the hair. Lately she has been scratching so hard and I started recently noticing these red sores. Now I don't know if this is a new skin condition on her and she is scratching at it, or if the sores are simply from her scratching so hard. Any ideas? I do have an appointment with her doctor next week, but I don't know if I will get any concrete diagnosis.

Oh that poor thing
Itching is just miserable I have no idea what to even suggest. I sure hope that the doctor has some answers.

What about milk sensitivity and it causing eczema? I can't think of anything else at the moment. It looks very uncomfortable
I hope what ever is causing it you find out real soon.

Has psoriasis been ruled out? It tends to get much worse in the winter months (less sun exposure, etc).
Sorry for your poor girl

hmm, I haven't ruled that out for sure. We do lactose free at home, but obviously it could also be casein. Thanks for the idea
