You know you are a fabric hoarder if...

I went a bit crazy this weekend buying fabric. I got great deals with both the fleece and the flannel.

Friday when I brought it all home, DH was looking at my haul and spotted the camo fleece I bought to make pants for the new baby. He decided he wanted a new body pillow for Christmas with the same stuff, and of course I didn't have enough to do both. I got the rest of the fabric all put away and Saturday started sewing. I made a couple of pairs of pants for the kids and needed one roll of ribbon for a blanket I was making my 2 yr old.

While I was at Joanns I picked up a huge box of fiber fill on a great deal and one more cut of the camo fleece. I left it in the car until tomorrow when DH was at work, then brought it in. I specifically hid it in plain sight because I know DH has no clue what is actually a part of my fabric stash.

And...now I can't find it. Seriously, I didn't bury it in the fabric...I didn't even take it out of the bag! I walked in, tossed it on top of the pile I had made a mess of sewing, and that was it! I did more work to hide the box, of fiberfill and it's still clearly visible. How on earth can I lose 2 yards of camo print fleece, on TOP of a pile of mostly pink and purple flannel?!?!

LOL. I hear you. I lost 3 meters of fleece in my cupboard today.

I'm worse... I recently "found" about 25 yards of fabric that I had in a big tote bag. I lost the fabric in 2010 and didn't know it was missing! When I found it I had an ... "oh yeah... I remember that now" moment!

Someone lost a yard of wool jersey for me. When they decided to reorganize my closet. Ds1 asked for new wool pants because he has grown out of the ones I made last year. Now I can't find it.

It's only a sport if you also own an antique treadle... Then you sweat while you sew!
Of course I also have a "collection" of vintage rick rack and bais tape. I love sewing with stuff that says it only cost 10 cents!
