Food poisoning and breastfeeding

So I think I have food poisoning. I've been vomiting and have had diarrhea all night and so far I can't keep anything down. Not even little sips of water.

Is it okay to keep breastfeeding? Should I try to get to an urgent care to get an iv for hydration? I know I'm seriously getting dedydrated and I'm worried about losing my supply.

I did. I don't think it will hurt them. Or least I don't think it did.

I have breastfed through food poisoning. If you are seriously dehydrated and can't keep any fluids down, then you should go to get IV rehydration for yourself, regardless of your nursling.

Your supply will bounce back really quickly once you're able to eat and drink at least somewhat normally.

I just nursed through a pretty bad flu where I didn't eat for a few days. I made sure to drink plenty of fluids but not too much plain water- pop, juice, and vitalyte (like Gatorade but more natural). When you are not eating much a little salt and sugar is important to allow your body to use the liquid you are consuming and replace what you are losing.
