My 4 MO has had some stringy poop. Today it has been really stringy. I can see it. And yes its normal. Seedy stringy poop is normal until food is started.

I disagree. Stringy poo equals food sensitivity in my house. When my diet is clean baby's poo is sticky creamy with yellow seeds. These things are so common, unfortunately, they are easy to mistake for normal.

I also read that it could be allergies. He doesn't nap all day unless he is on the boob and he is really fussy alot. He had a slow weight gain at first but is fine now. He almost never has seedy poo.

Mama, I think your instincts are right and there is something going on. There should be seeds on a regular basis. My LO didn't have seeds until I eliminated her trigger foods from my diet. Are you willing to try it? You can start with just eliminating dairy, or the big five if you want to be more aggressive (dairy, soy, eggs, wheat, nuts). Let me know if you want some food suggestions. Good luck getting your LO's tummy in order!

Dairy made my sons poo mucousy and stringy. He never had seedy poo.
