I was desperate to up my milk supply for my preemie. I got some fenugreek and started that Friday night. I have been doing 3 capsules three times a day. I have the maple smell to my urine. But the last 2 times I have taken them I have broke out in hives. They itch like crazy and appear first on my back then face and tummy. Then all in my scalp. I am stopping it but have never heard of an allergy to it. Everything I have read said an allergy is rare. I am at a loss here.

I don't get hives with it, but my face itches horribly. I don't take it anymore. Sorry!

I would probably say cut back a little. I take 4 or 5 capsules a day. Maybe your taking to many?

Sounds like you allergic. Cutting back will not help if it is a true allergy. I would stop taking it and see if you still are breaking out. That way you know for sure. Maybe try domperidone instead to up your supply. I have to take reglan to keep mine up there.
