Happy Hanukkah to all my fellow dreidel-spinners! Please please upload a pic! Where did you get it?

Depending on the design, I'd be on the fence. A menorah and dreidels, no problem. Not sure about the Magen David though. For those without context, it's the difference between Santa or Rudolph and a cross. Of course if she were to wear it like bloomers under a dress, it's possible no one would realize that it's a diaper or cover. I say this because we belong to a very hippie synagogue (sit-ins instead of bar mitzvah in the 60s, compost instead of trash now) and people have still been shocked to see that DS is in cloth or think that he has really strange looking pampers.

As for DH... I'm pretty sure mine would say "that's amazing! You have to get it!" if he saw it online. And don't worry, DS wore his "Worldwide Dreidel Champ" shirt (Carter's) for no less than six months. I just washed the larger size that I bought last year. Hopefully you bought OS do DD and future kiddos can wear it non-stop. When you add a Passover dipe to the rotation, how about plagues on the inside? ;-)

I personally wouldn't, but I'm also a convert so I tend to be extra extra careful ...

Is the person who made the diaper Jewish? I'm not sure it matters except to say that you can be more sure of the spirit of celebration rather than a purely capitalistic endeavor.

I don't know if it helps that Hannukah isn't a major religious holiday, and that the star of david is more a cultural symbol than a religious one ... ? We don't put a Tanakh (Bible) or Siddur (Prayer Book) on the floor, we take extreme care with things that have G-d's name on them, there are many symbols and phrases that are used with a lot of care. But the Star of David is everywhere, and strikes me as more similar to the US Flag than, for instance, a Christian Cross.

Cloth diapers are, after all, more of a garment ... with mechanisms to avoid the outside getting dirty ... so if it's OK to put it on a garment, why not a diaper.

Just don't put a big ol Star of David on the rear of a diaper; it would probably deeply offend Israelis and pro-Israeli Americans.

(so I guess my answer is I wouldn't put religious symbols on a diaper, but I don't see the symbols on that diaper as religious as much as cultural ... like the American flag; you'd make a red white & blue diaper but not a diaper out of a flag ...).

That's part of why I asked to see a picture. That would not fly in our house or my IL's!
