Knitted Dryer Ball Pattern - Pics included

YOU CAN NOW FIND PICS OF THE FINISHED PRODUCT ON RAVELRY. LINK IN POST #6.

This is a pattern I wrote. Please do not reproduce my pattern for profit. You may copy/paste this elsewhere but please give credit as it was written by me (Ashley King) Thanks mamas!
I also don't mind if you MAKE the dryer balls for profit

This is for a dryer ball that is hand wound and then placed inside a knitted casing

Materials:
3oz any kind of yarn for hand balled inner, I use 2-2.5oz of Red Heart Super Saver and an outer layer of .5-1oz wool. This allows you to make your dryer balls on the cheap!
1oz wool yarn for outter (use this to knit)
Size 10 knitting needles
Tapestry needle

CO 10 stitches.

Take a tapestry needle and thread your cast on tail thru all 10 stitches. This will allow you to pull the stitches closed when your ball is finished.

Increases:
Row 1: Kfb across row
Row 2: Purl
Row 3: *K1, kfb* across row
Row 4: Purl
Row 5: *K2, kfb* across row

Body:
Knit in stockinette stitch for 3.5“ from cast on edge.

Decreases:
Row 1: *K2, K2tog* across row
Row 2: Purl
Row 3: *K1, K2tog* across row
Row 4: Purl
Row 5: *K2tog* across row
Using tapestry needle, cut yarn leaving a long tail. Thread through remaining stitches and pull tightly. Place hand wound 3oz ball of yarn inside body of knitted ball. Seam up the back, pull other end tight, weave in ends.

To felt, wash with laundry that is washed in HOT water, then dry on hot with laundry. It may take a couple of cycles of this to get your dryer balls fully felted.

I LOVE YOU!

I have these on my gift list but wanted to use 'covers' for the gift ones so I don't have to worry about them coming apart after use and all the patterns are for crochet. I don't need to learn another craft right now.

That was my issue! I didn't want them unraveling (even for mine) and I can't crochet more then a simple blanket.
I've only been knitting for about 8-10 months but I can do it far better then I can crochet lol

I can't even crochet a blanket.

You should put this on Raverly!

My favorite dryer balls are the ones similar to these!! Loove!

Ignore typos...probably nursing, typing with one finger on my left hand while wrangling two toddlers. yeah, I'm that good.

Did you purchase them?
I have never been able to find a knitted dryer ball size pattern and have no interest in profiting from this so I made it free for all
