Skin after weight loss
I'm working on losing weight. Ideally about 80 pounds.
![]() Pregnancy proved to me I do not have very elastic skin. I was left with awful stretch marks on my stomach and boobs. So I'm concerned about what condition my skin will be left in if I do manage to drop the weight. I have a saggy belly as it is. If I lose weight, will I be left deflated? Or will my skin adjust some? Is there anything I can do during the weight loss to help my skin out? I don't expect to ever wear a bikini, but don't want to look 80 either.

It really just depends :/ I think genetics is a huge factor?? My sister lost a ton, and just shrunk right up! My
Mom is very saggy. But that's likely age too? GL!!

Re: Skin after weight loss
Genetics stink.
I have my moms skin. She has horrible stretch marks too and wasn't overweight until after kids. Pregnancy wreaked havoc on her body. I bet I end up with a fold of skin when this is all said and done. I will just have to love myself and be happy that its at least empty. Sigh.

Re: Skin after weight loss
I have lost 95 lbs
From 274 to 179 ! I have saggy skin on my boobs, thighs, arms and stomach but with strength training and use of vitamin E and shea butters I am seeing some improvement. Since I too experienced stretching and sagging after pregnancy I knew it was inevitable BUT... It can improve with patience, hard work, strength training, protein, water, and butters like shea and vitamin E! Dont let the fear of saggy skin stop you from losing weight!! It gets better! One day at a time! One lb at a time!

You STILL look amazing!!!! I have a boat anchor scar on my belly that is puckered, so it seems like it will always be that way :/ (2 emergency c-sections, first horizontal, second vertical) I have lost 83 lbs, but recently gained back 13... And am going to start after the holidays to lose again (starting school will be a BIG incentive) I have heard if you lose it slowly, its more likely to get back into shape...Anyone have any proof?? LOL!!!
