Cream of Wheat
My mom recently told me about how her uncle used to bring packets of Cream of Wheat and other "luxury" things like that when he would come visit when she was younger. She said that she will never forget and for several decades has looked for "apple cinnamon cream of wheat in the pouches". Anyone know if this is still made? If so where to find it or how to make something similar? I would love to give her some for Christmas!

Re: Cream of Wheat
I eat cream of wheat regularly. The only kind found in my store are regular, cinnabon and whole wheat. According to there web site though they make chocolate and maple brown sugar. You could make her some using oatmeal pouch recipes. This one has an apple cinnamon variation listed http://www.stretcher.com/stories/00/...m#.UMZoKYM70jw . Since it takes considerably less cream of wheat then it does oats I am not sure if you would measure the wheat at the same ration of oats for the dry mix. Actually I just looked at my box a single serving size uncooked is 3 tbsp so you'd use 3 tbsp per packet and then the variation you want as it list. you could multiply and make a big jar for her.
