Does bleach kill yeast??

I'm on a local cloth diapering page (and some are giving very bad advice). One mama is fighting yeast and another mama said bleach doesn't kill yeast...before I reply I thought I would check the knowledge of ds mamas.

Bleach kills everything. It works by chemically dissolving cell walls. It has to be a strong enough concentration of course, just like anything... but yeah bleach kills yeast!!!

I've heard that it won't kill the "spores". Maybe one of the other mommas can chime in. I could be wrong...

I've heard that too but truthfully I don't know what that means. Is this like mold spores?

Now I thought spores are what floats around in the air... makes sense that bleach wouldn't kill it? Unless you use bleach as an air freshener? LOL. Kidding kidding.

Bleach air freshener!!!! I literally lol'd (DH is asleep- oops!). I'm totally patenting that! See ya when I'm a millionaire...! And then sued soon there after.

So should I comment?? Around here people buy in to the "suggested" washing routines. They almost fainted when I suggested using a mainstream detergent.
