Would you let your 6 y/o wear these?
Someone gave us these boots.
...For my 6 y/o (well, she's 6 in 5 more days, so technically still 5 y/o)... I am having trouble with these. Do they look too grown up for a 6y/o to you? Do they look too sexy? DD wore them out of the house for the first time yesterday, with a pair of leggings and a shirt-dress type thing.... And I was really uncomfortable with her appearance. She was clopping around in the heels, and she kept kicking her legs out, and posing, and giggling... She LOVES them. But I am just not sure. I don't want to be too uptight over shoes. I mean, they're just shoes. But... I dunno... Someone give me some advice here. ETA: maybe it was just her outfit yesterday.... That could have been it... I'm just... not ready for a "big" girl, I guess.

I think they look too grown up for a 6 yo, but I am unfamiliar with little girl fashion today due to having all boys. Could be the pose of the foot model too.

if she could walk on uneven ground (front lawn, wherever) without falling on her face, then yes. those are some high heels for a little girl though.

I don't think they are bad. I know my 7 year old dd would love them. She loves anything with a heel, LOL.

If my DD liked them and she could walk in them, yes I would let her wear them.

Re: Would you let your 6 y/o wear these?
I don't care about what's in style. Doesn't matter to me a lick.
My DD is wearing boy's jeans b/c I hate the tight crotch/thighs/butt on the girl's jeans. LOL Yes, fashion is NOT a top priority in this house.... Not looking like Brittany Spears, is. ![]() And as far as the poses, this is JUST what my DD was doing while wearing them... which I think just added to my discomfort. ...I am also just reading, these things have a 3 inch heel!? oh my wow! I checked, and sure enough, you can't see the whole 3 inches, but it has the heel 3 full inches off the ground. That CAN'T be comfortable to walk that way....

Honestly, probably not. Absolutely no judgment to you, but if i'm reading the description correctly, a 3-inch heel seems pretty high for a 6 year old. Not only do they look grown up, I'd be worried about her falling.
If she likes them but you're not comfortable with them, how about something more like this? It still has a small heel, looks a bit grown up, but not quite so much http://m.target.com/p/girl-s-cheroke...n/-/A-14222509

No, I don't think I would. I wouldn't tell DD the truth about them being too adult though...Id probably tell her that wearing heels is very bad for her back, and she isn't allowed to wear heels until her body is more developed and even then, not as an everyday shoe.
