Simple rash solution you might not have thought of...
Baby powder. My son battled rashes for months and I tried everything I could think of. Changing detergents, altering our washing routine, CJ'S at every change, changing more often, wool and fitteds, fleece liners, sposies and Desitin every night, sposies only for a whole week, and more. On a rash thread here I first saw the simple suggestion of baby powder. I tried it and the rash has been permanently history. We recently moved and I misplaced my powder. For weeks I kept trying to remember to buy some and in the mean time the constant rash came back. Finally bought some Burt's Bees baby powder and the rash is gone again. Woo Hoo! Hope this suggestion might be helpful to someone out there.

Yup, cornstarch is a miracle worker for us. I wish I'd known about it for DD1!

I've used both baby powder and straight cornstarch too. Just be careful with the cornstarch because I've heard that if the rash is from yeast it can make it worse. I have yet to have an issue though

We use J&J medicated baby powder which is cornstarch with zinc oxide powder for when LO has a rash here. I works really well! Plus is safe to use with pockets as it washes right out.

Yep!!! If you mommas remember I had that darn persistent red bum problem when I started CDing Lulu, I tried EVERYTHING to get rid of it.... the solution? Powder at every change! It's been a month now of a very happy bumbum!

Kay so thanks so much for this thread, I've been battling dd's baaaad rash for over 2wks and we'd even resorted to ft sposies
and still not the improvement I'd have thought, a couple of days of powder... NEARLY GONE! I was so scared if it was yeast related we'd be feeding it (only random never before used can of powder we had was all cornstarch) but seems it wasn't yeasty cuz its almost all healed, now I know!! Never even touched the stuff for dd1!!
