TMI - Coughing = ....

I have a severe cough, plus a previous pregnancy and C/S. This is resulting in fairly frequent "accidents" and the need to change my underwear many times a day. I already do kegels and squats, is there anything else I can do to stay dry?

Also, anyone have a preferred mama pad brand for incontinence? The ones I have work well for AF but not great for accidents.

I have always had spectacular bladder control, so this is really weird for me!

I have the same problem with puking. And since I have hyperemesis you can imagine it's more than just a little problem.

My postpartum cloth works fairly well but I can imagine there is better stuff out there.

I had this while pregnant with my twins. Honestly, I just got depends disposable pads and wire those until I delivered. I had to do this for 3 months.

Yes, I have this issue too and always have when puking (even before kids). I have always been very fit and have done kegels my entire adult life. It still happens. According to my OB/Gyn, that's just how it is :-( I know there is a surgery that can be done if it gets really bad.

If I'm puking/coughing a lot, I tend to wear regular pads all day. They aren't perfect but I don't think maxi pads are made to hold floods of pee. They usually help me salvage my underwear, though. Coughing isn't usually too bad for me but puking will get me every time :-(

normal. I usually start leaking urine when I laugh, cough, sneeze or strain around 20 wks pregnant.

If I puke (I only did once or twice during one pregnancy b/c I was ill with something), it's all over, and I just need a whole dang shower after that.

Totally normal mama ! I just wear panty liners for now , after 2 kids even when I laugh hard it happens .

Also, just make sure you don't have a UTI....you can have an asymptomatic UTI and not know it.
