Bought butter and left it in

The paper bag all night. I was looking for it this morning and thought I must've not bagged it. Cleaning up kitchen I found a bag full of stuff. Including my four sticks of sealed butter. Toss or use? House temp has been about 70 if that makes a difference.

I would use it but my extended family has always left butter on the counter. I use a french crock but they just put it in a butter bell.

I think it's totally fine. I keep butter out all the time and have had no problems except in the hottest days of summer when it doesn't last as long.

I had no idea some people kept butter in the fridge until I was an adult Everyone I know keeps it in a dish/bowl/bell on the kitchen counter and the reserves in the freezer.

Oh yeah, perfectly fine. All kinds of people leave butter sitting in a butter dish on the counter all day. If I'm going to bake in the afternoon, I get the butter out of the fridge and leave it on the counter first thing in the morning.

I never put butter in the fridge unless it's hot. So yeah, it's fine.
