music to fall asleep

Ok my 11 week old has to listen to rap or hiphop to fall asleep. I figured this out in the car one day when he was screaming i put on the radio and was radio surfing and it got to the rap station and "look at me now" was on and he immediately stopped. He has colic and Screams all night unless i blast rap. Lol i guess its all the upbeat sounds. So i Zumba while he goes to sleep i get a workout and the baby to sleep at the same time. Gotta love it. Any weird things that your kids like?

DS1 would always settle down to Carrie Underwood. Not just any country music, but specifically her.

When DS was a baby, he had to have jazz music to sleep, especially during his crabby periods. Even now, he is almost 14 and he sleeps with jazz playing every night. lol

My daughter was colicky as a newborn and my husband used to do his Tae Kwon do forms in the living room while holding her, complete with thrusting her out and up then pulling her close. It was hilarious and it made me laugh nonstop AND kept my grouchy infant quiet.

I'm so glad to remember this - it was over 4 years ago already. I wonder if I have video of it.

My first ds would only quiet down In the car for techno. (Cascada to be exact) I guess the beat sounded like a heartbeat??

When I'm super stressed out or upset, I like listening to techno b/c I like the repetitive beat and rhythm. It seems to drown out everything else, and I can relax.
