Immersion Blender issue

I've had this happen before, just suddenly it stinks, can't make it un stink

every 6 months having to chuck it seems silly, is there a fix?

Is it possible there's water trapped inside it? I have 2 attachments to mine, and we recently threw away one because we could tell there was water trapped in it. The little bit of water that we could get out was icky.

there is nothing I can take apart to clean, i'm just bummed cause I use it daily

Mine doesn't have parts to take apart either, we just noticed the water by shaking it. There is an "inside" to it, even though we can't reach it.

BBB didn't have any in stock, orderd a new one from amazon. $33 I hadn't planned on spending, if I clean it it smells again soon enough, nasty smell :-(

I would soak it in a cup of hydrogen peroxide.
