Where to start?

I'm kinda thinking that I have an artistic personality and am actually good at painting, drawing, taking pictures, ect when it comes to art. Not sure if I'm willing to work on an art piece and sell my art. I'm wondering if I should take pictures. I happen to like taking them. Does anyone know where to start with taking pictures? Or getting books on information. I would love to be a WAHM'a but I will have to convince the DH.

Also I don't want to infringe on others territory. I know quite a few friends that use certain photographers in the area and I don't want to feel like I'm taking away form others. I did do school and this is the area I went to school for.

I know that it can be competitive but I'm hoping to break in somewhere in the art field so that I can hopefully contribute more to our growing family.
