Re: Show Me/Tell Me About Your Natural Fiber + Non-PUL Stash
DS2 is finally PLing, but we have a no-PUL, no-microfiber stash. He is generally not using most of it, some has been given away or FSOT'd -- he's 43 months old. This is what we used the past year:
24 Premium PFs me-made fleece wrap for trifolding 4 fleece soakers (3 me-made) 3-5 pairs of fleece pants (me-made) Imse Vimse XL bumpy wool Little Beetle wool size 2.5 8 breathable fleece Green Acre Designs pockets (stay-dry inners, fleece outers -- I generally stuffed these with prefolds) 4 Little Boppers fitteds (2 OS, 2 Large) 2 Little Boppers fleece Ai2s (sometimes I would trifold PFs into these, but usually I used the inserts designed for them) 3 Bugga Bugga Boutique Large fitteds 2 Gaia's Treasures fitteds 12 Green Acre Designs OS semi-fitteds (6 obv inners, 6 microfleece inners) stuffed with either PFs or with hemp/cotton 8 breathable fleece or breathable minky Preston's Pants pockets (DH and babysitter stash mainly) 6-8 me-made pocket fitteds, some are "hybrid" style with hidden fleece nights: 3 Large fleece DryBees stuffed with toddler size XL BabyKicks hemp PFs and cotton doubler, or else another breathable pocket-style diaper stuffed similarly and covered with fleece soaker or fleece pants. ETA -- > I forgot to specify I have a bunch of cotton velour and cotton terry doublers, many me-made bamboo fleece inserts, and hemp inserts, flats, and PFs.

Re: Show Me/Tell Me About Your Natural Fiber + Non-PUL Stash
I use mostly fleece covers or pockets that I made stuffed with t-shirt soakers and cut up towels, bummis organic prefolds and fitteds I made out of those prefolds, 2 receiving blankets as flats, and longies and shorties I made from fleece pj bottoms some mine, some I bought at a thrift store.

Re: Show Me/Tell Me About Your Natural Fiber + Non-PUL Stash
I use receiving blankets and a few fitteds. I make all my own wool covers from sweaters. That is our whole stash(except for a few pockets that I made as a tester for some fabric, but it is only temporary).

Re: Show Me/Tell Me About Your Natural Fiber + Non-PUL Stash
we do almost no PUL - have a few covers for when everything is in the wash - but mostly:
DS is 8 mos., medium wetter, 15 pounds, 28 inches and we have: 24 Medium/Red Edge GMD prefolds 1 Etsy ETPF 4 Medium Hemp Terry Swaddlebees Fitteds 2 Organic Cotton Terry Imse Vimse One Size Fitteds 8 Mama-made Hemp Doublers (only use at night) 2 Medium Woollybottoms Upcycled Soakers 1 Medium Etsy Upcycled Soaker 1 Large (would still be using the small but it got felted ) Aristocrats Soaker1 Medium Upcycled Mama-made Wool Longies 22 Wonder-full Contour/Hybrid Hemp Dipes with snap-on doubler for each (these are for laying in our PUL covers for laundry day...hardly ever use them) 4 One Size Etsy PUL Hybrid Covers I find this to be easy to use, fit well (soakers are a little big on DS but I like them that way for better coverage) and it gives us plenty of dipes. I almost never have to use our laundry day stash. I highly recommend GMD prefolds (heard good things about Imagine smart fit too and they're much cheaper) and Woollybottoms Upcycled Soakers. My two favorute dipe products

Re: Show Me/Tell Me About Your Natural Fiber + Non-PUL Stash
We do have mostly PUL covers at this point, but I am adding as much fleece and PUL as I can.
I make turned and topstitched wraps from the trimsies pattern with cotton or bamboo interlock on the outside and fleece or wool interlock on the inside. (I'm really picky about fit. Our PUL covers are front snapping my pattern or La Di Da, but with fleece or wool the wings are thicker so I don't want tabs outside on the front). With these I lay in a bamboo easy fold. Then we have GMD Workhorses I side-pin with fleece or wool pants. |

Re: Show Me/Tell Me About Your Natural Fiber + Non-PUL Stash
I know some moms don't - but I absolutely LOVE my g-diapers! They are cotton with a vinyl "waterproof" (not natural, I know) liner for easier breathing than PUL. Like most diapers, they don't fit every body type perfectly, but my boy has been wearing them since he was born without any problems (he's in size med now which should fit until he's 25ish lbs).
I use them with bamboo "g-Flappers" from the nappy shoppe. They are a little pricey at about $8 a pop but so so so absorbent and we never have leaks. They are THE BEST!!! My stash is pretty streamlined, we have one solution for days and one for nights and rarely use any other combinations. |

Re: Show Me/Tell Me About Your Natural Fiber + Non-PUL Stash
I have some Woolly Bottoms soaker covers, a Disana wool cover, and Engel wool cover, and some recycled wool sweater longies, as well as some handknitted shorties. I love them all and I don't find washing and lanolinizing to be very difficult at all.
My biggest compaint would be that none of them are trim options at all. So for my guy, they are nighttime or kicking around the house solutions (except for the longies) because it is too cold here to run around in just a shirt and diaper most of the year. I think if my kid were allergic to PUL, then he'd have to have an entire wardrobe of longies because I have yet to see a wool cover that I could get infant pants over. If you have a girl, it would be easier because she could just wear a skirt and tights a lot more often. |

Re: Show Me/Tell Me About Your Natural Fiber + Non-PUL Stash
For my DD we did mostly ETP under wool or Nikky covers. I did also have about a dozen cotton fitteds. With DS2 since he is still EBF we are doing cotton fitteds like Sandy, Workhorse and Tinkle Traps (the SS cotton not the prefitteds) under wool longies or prefolds and flats trifolded in a Nikky or Niji cover under clothes. I did just get 2 basic nylon Dappi covers and I really like them. So far I have only used those over pinned prefolds.
