Re: Not how I thought my day would go.
Praying for you! What were your bile's leading up to this week?? I am getting increasingly itch but BAs dropped back down to 5...which is great for baby! Not doubt you are miserable! I'm glad baby is under constant monitoring and you are getting good care. Thirty-three weeks will do fine...not ideal, but better than the other options!

And thank you everyone for the words of hope. I'm now out of high risk and in l&d. I have been given a dose of cervidil and will receive the pit in the AM to get things going. I've had my consult with the neonatologist and everything seems to indicate that she will have some good odds, so for now we will just wait and hope. Thanks again, and I'll post back with and update once she has arrived! Last edited by brookglen; 12-14-2012 at 09:37 PM. |

Re: Not how I thought my day would go.
Baby's chances are very good! So sorry that you're having to go through this, though. Please ask your doctors if they will delay clamping the cord, since it has special benefits for preemies, including the reduction of a need for blood transfusion later.
My sister and I were born at 31 weeks in 1982 and we are fine!

Re: Not how I thought my day would go.
Hope everything is going well mama and that baby has been stable enough for a cuddle! Lots of love and prayers.

33 weeks should be fine. I almost had to have DS2 at 28 weeks and they told me he had a good chance then so 33 is even better. A friend had her dd at 30 weeks and she got released from NICU even earlier than they were told.
