Did you give your baby yogurt? With my oldest the ped was adamant no dairy until one year. With my daughter, she wanted nothing to do with anything but breast milk until she was 11 months. Lil man is 7 months and eats pretty much anything I give him. My ped now says its ok. Opinions?

when we start solids (usually 8 mo or so) it's anything goes except honey

right away - am pretty sure it was one of her first solids.

I only avoid honey and undercooked eggs.

We start at 9 months. My dd LOVES trader joes organic banana yogurt!

We started pretty early on when we started solids. We used coconut milk yogurt though. We've switched to soy now because coconut is no longer carried anywhere near us. If you want to start yogurt, but are nervous about dairy there are tons of options, coconut, hemp, rice, almond, soy, and wheat are all made into dairy substitutes.

I forget when exactly, but it was under 1. Yogurt and cheese are the two exceptions to the no dairy rule because of how they're processed.
