Re: Moms of girls - re: wiping
There's a Louis C.K. routine about changing baby girls' diapers. Not linking because it's not family safe (it's on youtube) but it is hilarious

Re: Moms of girls - re: wiping
Most of the time we don't wipe for pee. No rashes
She does get a bath every night though, if that makes a difference.

Re: Moms of girls - re: wiping
I don't. Only if she's really wet. Otherwise just when there's poo.

I wipe at every change and I make sure she wipes on the potty.

Re: Moms of girls - re: wiping
Wow, some of you go to a lot of work on your girls. I would never ever think to use a qtip to clean them. I always went with the theory that if poo was going up the vagina her body would clean itself out for me. I'd go change her diaper in an hour again and her body would have pushed the remaining poo out on its own. That seemed a lot less invasive than getting out the qtips. It never occurred to me I should be cleaning inside things.
And I totally would rather cange a girl over a boy any day. With ds the poo get all stuck in the wrinkles of his scrotum which shifts all around while wiping. Takes way too many wipes to clean him up. To the OP question. I wipe at almost all diaper changes (wet or poo) but if it was just pee and the are fighting the diaper change I just let them go. Missing 1 or 2 wipings a day won't hurt, I figure. |
