Diaper cover patterns
Looking for a diaper cover pattern that's OS (or large and I can add rise snaps) with gussets. I'd like something similar to Swaddlbees Capris. I'm willing to pay up to about $10. What suggestions do you have?
Probably typing one handed while breastfeeding. My smartphone can't fix it all.

Re: Diaper cover patterns
![]() I need to start making these covers in the next week before DD completely outgrows her Thirsties size 1 (I probably have less than a month). I'm really just looking for a basic pattern. I can easily add gussets and rise snaps to the pattern. Would like something that will last until PL. Any suggestions?

I had the best luck making my own patterns. I'd take a diaper I liked and lay it out on a large sheet of paper (usually a paper grocery bag cut open), then I'd trace the diaper I liked and adjust as needed as far as lengthening rise, etc. I always made one test diaper out of cheap fabric first to check for size.

Re: Diaper cover patterns
That's what I did with her size one dipes (she really just has 3 Thirsties and the rest are made by me). It took me a couple tries to get it right though. With the time crunch I was hoping to avoid the trial and error, but I guess I need to just go for it.

Re: Diaper cover patterns
I have the little comet tails little starter pattern......it is a sized pattern but she gives you the pattern pieces for gussets and all....I think it was about $8... you could always make the medium and add rise adjustments. Some people complain about the instructions but sounds like you don't really need them...the pattern pieces would be just to save time....instead of tracing your own.
