S/O what Christmas movies do you have to watch every year

What movies do you have to watch this time of year for it to be Christmas?

Ours are: Muppet Christmas Carol, Polar Express, The Santa Claus and lately we've fallen in love with Prep and Landing. Dh loves to watch Emmet Otters Jug Band (I think that is the title).

Elf, Christmas Vacation, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street, It's a Wonderful Life, The Year Without a Santa Claus, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, etc.
We rented Arthur Christmas last week and loved that too.

We don't celebrate Christmas anymore, but It's a Wonderful Life is and will always be my favourite holiday movie. Can you believe my husband had never seen it?! And he likes James Stewart and old movies.
This isn't for this time of year, but every Passover (which is usually around Easter time) we have to watch The 10 Commandments with Charlton Heston. Love that one too. Some how special effects just can't create that same energy that huge sets and 10,000's of extras can.

I forgot about The Grinch - the annimated one not Jim Carey. I enjoy that one but if I miss it, it isn't a big deal.

I actually had never seen It's a Wonderful Life until last year. A family friend was over and surprised I'd never seen it so we found it on tv and watched it. It was ok but not something I feel I need to watch again.

We watch Polar Express every Christmas Eve before bedtime, just part of whole little family tradition thing. The kids watch Elf, How the Grinch Stole Christmas (both versions), and Christmas Carol (the new animated one that Jim Carrey voiced) throughout the year Hubby LOVES A Christmas Story (the one with the kid with the glasses & the leg lamp)...I've personally never liked it much...he made the kids watch it this weekend and they were done with it after about ten minutes lmao

Re: S/O what Christmas movies do you have to watch every year

White Christmas
animated Grinch
Frosty the Snowman
the Rankin and Bass classics (Rudolph, Year without a Santa Claus, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Twas the Night Before Christmas, Little Drummer Boy)
Charlie Brown's Christmas
Garfield's Christmas
It's a Wonderful Life
Miracle on 34th Street
Holiday Inn (not strictly Christmas, I suppose, but I love watching it)
Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas Special

I think that's it. There are a few others the kids enjoy watching, but these are the only ones I really feel the desire to watch. We watched Home Alone for the first time this year, though, so I can see the kids requesting it from now on.

The bold!! I wasn't sure what to call them. I also have to watch Scrooge..the 1970 with Albert Finney.
