How many bike tires do your children go through a month?

It feels like at least 2 kids need new tires every month!

Wow - we've never replaced a bike tire. When the weather is nice we go for daily bike rides so they ride their bikes quite a bit but only on cement paths so maybe that makes a difference.

I should clarify that it's not the actual tires but the tubes. Anyways, I'm jealous!!!

Yeah, we might pump up a tire every couple of months but that is the extent of 'repairs' we've ever done on the bikes.

None - we never have had to replace tires in 15 yrs.

My brothers and I went through tubes often. Every couple of months. We rode mostly through woods and gravel though.

Green slime is awesome! I've used generic stuff too. I used it on mine recently when they already had a hole and it patched it right up. So much easier than trying to get a new tube on.

Re: How many bike tires do your children go through a month?

When I was a kid we moved to a place with cactus and we began going through tons of bike inner tubes. So we ended up switching all of our tires to solids or to the extra thick tubes. The thick ones worked better than the regular ones but they still needed regular replacing but they gave a smoother ride than the solids.
