Re: How do you take a bath after C-section?
Same here. I showered 18 hours after my c/s at the hospital.

Re: How do you take a bath after C-section?
I showered 3 days after my first C-Section. It was very painful when I tried to bend in an attempt to scrub my feet and I had difficulty moving around with a stitched lower abdomen.

Re: How do you take a bath after C-section?
You will always be told not to bathe any surgical site and rarely be told not to get it wet. In theory you should only take showers because of the risk of infection. That being said, I never listened and I still soaked in the tub. Probably not the best idea, but I thankfully have never had any issues even after 7 or so abdominal surgeries.

Re: How do you take a bath after C-section?
I wonder if the closure method matters. I had glue closing my outer incision and they said I could get it wet (I don't remember if they specified showering or bathing) but just not to scrub it and to just pat it dry. I had no additional bandage or other dressing on top of the glue; it was all just open to air from recovery on.
