Agree with the above- 2-3 hrs at the most and once the baby comes its over just like birth. Shower/ water helped so much for me too.

I went to emerge last night because I had horrendous lower back pain but was hardly bleeding. Nothing was happening. So they did a quick u/s and couldn't see much, no hearbeat and I was measuring small. So I was sent in today for an u/s and the dr told me that the baby died around 7 or 8 weeks. A surgeon was sent in to talk to me about my options and highly recommended a D&C because my body was contracting but not accomplishing anything and I was in pain. So I had a D&C and now I'm home, and its over. I feel a real sense of pain and loss but I know it will get better and after a few regular cycles we will try again. We won't give up hope. i just reread your story and was wondering how you are healing and coping now. are you planning to try anytime soon? how long did it to take cycle to return?

Thanks for asking. Physically the healing wasn't bad at all since I hardly bled prior to the D&C and after. Though I did suffer from a lot of lower back pain before and after. Emotionally, it was rough for a while but better now. I have my moments though, like anyone who has gone through this. I wanted to ttc asap but DH wants to wait 2 or 3 cycles. So I think we've come to a decision to NTNP for a while. I haven't had a cycle yet so I'm not really sure what is going on. I also haven't taken any OPKs or charted so I'm not sure if I'm ovulating either. I really don't want to bother with those right now anyway. I'm not sure what to expect in regards to trying for a baby again, I guess its just a waiting game.
