Def agreed! My cousin was my esthetician for YEARS. She was so gabby with me while she was doing it and really hurt me every time, well the wax before my wedding, she made an ugly purple bruise and ripped skin because she was being careless and just wasnt pulling the skin tight. :/ I was soooo angry. I have been going to the same girl for a while and love her. But I see your point about going for the first time.

I take my time and pour over reviews before selecting where to go If you're in a big enough city/town, Yelp is usually a decent place to read reviews. I also only go to people who use hard wax, it makes all the difference, IMO.
