We tried tomee tippee, advent,dr. Browns,& playtex. We ended up using playtex vent aire with a slow flow nipple. That's the only bottle we ever used that she would take.

Re: Favorite/best brands of nipples, milk bottles
We liked the Lansinoh milk storage bags. I never had a leak and they were the cheapest I found. Also, I could put more in them.
For bottles and nipples, we were lucky to have kids that weren't picky. We did stick with low flow nipples even as they go older, so that they wouldn't get used to guzzling their bottles. |

Re: Favorite/best brands of nipples, milk bottles
We had good luck with the Medela bottles and nipples. It's nice not to have to transfer after I pump. I store my frozen milk in bags and have never had an issue.

Re: Favorite/best brands of nipples, milk bottles
We used the tommee tippees for a while because that was the only one DS would use. I also was pumping exclusively for 5 weeks in order to heal after having thrush and i was hoping to go back to bfing. After we realized that he didn't want anything to do with bfing anymore we switch to the born free glass bottles. I love love love using glass. I feel safer using them especially warming up milk. The medela calma was supposed to be good but it just didn't work for us. DS got way to much air in that way. Every baby is different though.

Re: Favorite/best brands of nipples, milk bottles
I wound up getting the honeysuckle bags, which seems to have gotten superior reviews No issues yet though I just started using them. DD got her first bottle given to her by DH. It was the Medela one that came with the pump. No issues and I don't think she'll be picky- she takes her nutrition seriously! I think I'll have to get a slow flow nipple, since she chugged it. And really get serious about building up a frozen supply!!

Dr. Browns wide mouth. Wide mouth is supposed to better replicate the nipple

For those that tried several bottles/nipples did you buy one of each and just feel it out? I will be going back to work in a few months and need to get bottles, but we're broke and can't afford to try every system available.
